Amigurumi Pig Free Pattern
I was looking for a free pattern for an amigurumi pig a while back, and I couldn't find one I liked so I decided to make one myself! This pig is easy and fun to make, and the perfect size for a kid to play with or to sit on your desk! Please do not copy this pattern as your own or republish the pattern in any way. Materials
- Pink and black yarn of your choice
- Recommended hook size for your yarn
- Yarn needle
- Safety eyes of your choice
- Polyester Fiber Fill
- Stitch Marker (optional)
Abbreviations Used
- sc: single crochet
- hdc: half double crochet
- inc: increase (two sc in one stitch)
- st: stitch
- dec: decrease (crochet two stitches together)
- BLO: in back loops only
- FO: Fasten off
- ch: chain
Other Pattern Notes
- The pig will be bigger or smaller depending on the yarn and hook size you use
- The pattern is worked in continuous rounds
- If you use a stitch marker, move it up each round
Head and Body
- Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: Sc, inc, repeat around (18)
- Round 4: 2 sc, inc, repeat around (24)
- Round 5: 3 sc, inc, repeat around (30)
- Round 6: 4 sc, inc, repeat around (36)
- Rounds 7-12: Sc in each st around (36)
- Round 13: 4 sc, dec, repeat around (30)
- At this point, insert safety eyes between rounds 9 and 10, 6 st apart
- Round 14: 3 sc, dec, repeat around (24)
- Round 15: 2 sc, dec, repeat around (18)
- Start stuffing the head
- Round 16: sc, dec, repear around (12)
- The head is now done. Continue on to make the body.
- Round 17: Sc around (12)
- Round 18: Sc, inc, repeat around (18)
- Round 19: 2 Sc, inc, repeat around (24)
- Rounds 20-24: Sc around (24)
- Round 25: 2 Sc, dec, repeat around (18)
- Stuff Body
- Round 26: In BLO, sc, dec, repeat around (12)
- Round 27: Working in both loops now, dec around (6)
- Fo and close hole. Weave in ends.
Snout
- Round 1: 6 Sc in a magic ring (6)
- Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: Sc, inc, repeat around (18)
- Round 4: In BLO, sc in each st around (18)
- Round 5: Working in both loops now, sc in each st around (18)
- FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.
- Embroider a nose with black yarn, then add a little bit of stuffing before sewing onto the face
Legs (Make 2)
- Round 1: 6 Sc in a magic ring
- Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: Sc, inc, repeat around (18)
- Round 4: Sc in each st around (18)
- Round 5: Sc, dec, repeat around (12)
- Round 6: Sc around (12)
- Round 7: Sc 2, dec, repeat around (9)
- FO, leaving a long tail for sewing and stuff
Arms (Make 2)
- Round 1: 6 Sc in a magic ring (6)
- Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: 2 sc, dec, repeat around (9)
- Rounds 4-6: Sc in each st around (9)
- Round 7: Sc, dec, repeat around (6)
- Stuff lightly, fold in half and crochet the two sides together
- FO, leaving a long tail for sewing
Ears (Make 2)

- Round 2: Sc in each st around (6)
- Round 3: Sc, inc, repeat around (9)
- Round 4: 2 sc, inc, repeat around (12)
- FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not stuff.
Tail
- ch 10
- 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 3sc in each st across
- FO, leaving a long tail for sewing
Assembly
Using the pictures as a guide,
- Sew snout onto face
- Sew legs onto body
- Sew arms onto body
- Sew ears onto the top of the head
- Sew tail onto back
